What path led you to wealth management?
My path to wealth management was not planned. I had just moved back to town and a family member, who worked for TDC, mentioned to me there was an opening for a temporary position. I interviewed, was offered a full-time position shortly after, and here I am.
Why did you join TDC?
I joined TDC Investment Advisory because I saw it as an opportunity for a career and for growth.
What most excites you about your work?
Honestly – the people. We have a solid group of good people, working together to help find solutions and provide financial health and peace of mind for families. I’m grateful to be a part of it all and to continually work toward being more, for each other, and for our clients.
What has been your most rewarding career experience?
It’s been incredibly rewarding to watch the progression of some of the people on my team – knowing where they started and appreciating their growth and success (personally and professionally). They are family, both figuratively and literally.
What personal accomplishments are you most proud of?
Prior to coming to TDC, I moved to Cincinnati (which is only a 3-hour drive), but it was a huge deal for me because I only knew one person and am so close to my family. I’m proud that I pushed myself out of my comfort zone to do it. I learned a lot about myself in that time. After returning to the area, I bought my own house, which was also something I am proud of as well.
Why do families need to be stronger, closer, and wiser?
Relationships are the most important things in our lives. Fostering strong bonds, having a solid support system, and passing on family values are crucial to our happiness and in guiding the next generation.
What do you like to do outside of work? What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend?
I love to spend time with my family. I also love to be outside as much as possible (working in the yard or being on the water). If we’re stuck inside, I enjoy working on house projects.
What are some of your biggest influences?
Family – I am so lucky to have an amazing family who is incredibly loving, supportive, and fun to be around. I have some great friends as well, who have been around for a while.
