Kate Poolman

Client Experience Coordinator

Why did you join TDC?

Prior to TDC, I worked in the banking industry. My former boss, Michelle Fagnant, worked at TDC and told me about an opening on the New Accounts and Service Team. One of my favorite aspects of my job at the bank was assisting my customers with processing their transactions and making sure their needs were met. The role offered at TDC allowed me to do that and so much more.

What most excites you about your work?

I love the variety in what I do. I am able to think outside the box to find the best solution for our clients while making sure they have the best experience possible.

What has been your most rewarding career experience?

There is no one specific experience that is most rewarding, but I am passionate about being able to grow within TDC and in my position.

What personal accomplishments are you most proud of?

Being a mom to my son’s Mark and Daniel. I absolutely love watching them grow up and witnessing their accomplishments. Being able to successfully do that while working a full -time job alongside my husband who runs his own businesses is the best feeling.

Why do families need to be stronger, closer, and wiser?

Families need to be stronger, closer, and wiser to carry on the legacy they have created. If they are unable to be these three things, the hard work they’ve done for their family and community may never be seen in future generations.

What do you like to do outside of work? What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend?

I enjoy spending time with my family most of all. I truly enjoy spending my weekends cheering on both of my boys at their soccer and baseball games, helping my husband do mechanic work, being outside, gardening, cooking, and riding horses (when I can find some time just to myself).

What are some of your biggest influences?

My parents were a significant influence for me. They instilled the values of working hard while still focusing on family and those around me. They taught me to not take anything for granted along with staying humble and levelheaded. In addition, my husband and children are also significant influences. They help push me to continue doing my best and to be a better person each day. Their continuous belief in me and what I can do encourages me to tackle any task given to me.
