What path led you to wealth management?

While in the Haworth College of Business at Western Michigan University, I truly had no idea which career path I wanted to pursue. I had always been interested in business, but the spectrum is so large the options were limitless. It was not until after an internship at a Large National bank in Washington D.C I know wealth management was a space I wanted to work in.

Why did you join TDC?

I chose TDC for a few reasons. The first being the tight culture and family feel of the organization. After having a short experience within a large firm, I knew that a more personable organization would be the best fit for me. Secondly, having aligning goals with TDC and being passionate for helping others first, and doing it in an honest and intelligent way.

Knowing that everyday when I come to work, I am going to have the opportunity to help individuals and families achieve goals and objectives that will allow them to spend less time worrying and more time enjoying those special moments with those most important to them.

What has been your most rewarding career experience?

Being fortunate enough to have had the resources to attend Western Michigan University and be able to graduate with degrees in Finance and Management.

Why do families need to be stronger, closer, and wiser?

Your family should be the people you are able to rely on at any point in time. In my eyes, the motion of Stronger, Closer and Wiser is the ability to discuss the good, the bad and the ugly with those people in your life to make the best decision for those important to you. When you able to be a transparent, tight knit family it will allow you to be able to pass both the tangible and intangible wealth down for generations to come.

What do you like to do outside of work? What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend?

Spending time with my friends and family are my top priorities. Usually, those activities consist of being at the lake or the golf course.

What are some of your biggest influences?

My parents are my biggest influences. Being able to grow up and watch how they operate and provide for my siblings and I is something I can never thank them enough for. Learning many valuable lessons along the way, knowing that one day I want to be able to do the same for my family down the road.
